The Art of Sitting Vacantly
How many days
do I need
to blur my eyes
in front of
my laptop
just to get
a single
shred of
inspiration
before my brain
atrophies
to the point
where I
cannot
formulate
a single
thought
and before I
transfer
my
frustrations
to a cloud
where my files
reside
and not transfer
myself
to a cloud
reachable
only through
the hands
I'm currently using
to type this poem?
do I need
to blur my eyes
in front of
my laptop
just to get
a single
shred of
inspiration
before my brain
atrophies
to the point
where I
cannot
formulate
a single
thought
and before I
transfer
my
frustrations
to a cloud
where my files

and not transfer
myself
to a cloud
reachable
only through
the hands

Agent Orange
A man with no personal boundaries
cannot protect our borders
A man who tweets regularly
has desecrated the symbolism of the bald eagle
A man who makes the world his chess game
puts Dr. King’s accomplishments in check
A man who inherited a wheel of fortune
marred it with spaces of bankruptcy
A man who wants to deport dreamers
doesn’t sleep long enough to dream
A man who is embraced by white supremacists
simply calls them people who got him elected
A man who wants to see walls built
was clearly asleep when Berlin became one
A man who opposes the rights of transgender Americans
brags about violating the rights of women everywhere
A man who claims the media is fake
has been called out on every single lie
A man who calls his colleagues crazy
has zero grasp on reality
A man who claims to speak truth to power
lies to himself regularly
A man who demands undue respect
A man who glorifies his infamy
A man who derives delight from his status alone
A man who receives unwarranted validation
A man who spits on his legions of sycophants
A man who has no concept of relating to those unlike him
A man who revels in his own envy and damns his enemies
A man who can never admit to error…
....is simply not human...
let alone a man
let alone a man
